Well summer has officially hit NYC with a vengeance! We hope you’re keeping cool with sea breezes and any icy cold cocktail (or two). When the days become longer and the nights get warmer, we can’t wait to get outside and cool off. And what better way to get in the summer spirit and make the most of these long twilights than with a classic BBQ… and the deVivre clients agree.

Whether you’re looking to throw your own perfect rosé-filled summer soirée or just really want someone else to do the sweating by the grill, we’ve got the perfect solutions (after all, as a personal concierge service, it’s what we do).

If you’re looking for someone else to man the grill, we love Cowgirl-Seahorse. With a downtown vibe (and an exceptional view of the statue of liberty), this BBQ joint is Surf’n’Turf with a sea-shanty vibe. We especially swoon over the frozen drinks served in icy-cold mason jars (garnished with a tiny mermaid, of course). Sound like fun? We scored you a coupon. Right this way.

Want to throw a rooftop party but lack the crucial element of rooftop access that doesn't involve cat-burglar-level stealth? We’ve been posting up at The Kitano’s gorogeous penthouse space since Memorial Day. Silver chafing dishes full of smoky charred greenmarket goodies and heritage meats? Almost as beautiful as the sun off the Chrysler Building at cocktail hour.

For those of you heading to the Hamptons this weekend, we love getting together a classic Long Island Style Clambake. Sure, you could spend all day stoking a fire in the sand… or you could just leave it to us. Ice cold Narragansetts, briny shellfish, and corn on the cob ready and waiting for you when you get back from Ditch Plains. Quite possibly the perfect end to a beachy day. Don’t you look smart?

One of our favorite ways to really get in the New York Groove is to up the picnic game and set up in the park. If you’ve ever seen some of those amazing spreads in Sheep Meadow and thought “Seriously? They brought canvas chairs and fresh flowers!?”. Well, yes. Of course we did. Because that’s the way to do it right. Let NYC Parks and Rec provide the venue and let us do the rest. Just like Olmstead intended.

What are your summer plans? Get in touch if you want a little help making this summer the best yet.
