WELCOME to our monthly rundown of some of the coolest events happening in NYC! Each month we at devivre Concierge will trawl the interwebs, to bring you some of the most unique and New-Yorky goings-on about town. Here are our top picks for June:

Sights:

-Exhibition of the Summer alert! Magnum Manifesto at the International Center of Photography's new(ish) space on Bowery is bound to be amaze-balls! Celebrating 70 years of the photography agency started in 1947 by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger, and Chim (David Seymour). The agency has always focused on political events and conflict all over the world. This exhibition is not to be missed.

Sounds:

-I'm not gonna hide my bias here! I am in the very lucky position of being related to someone in this fantastic Americana band, with roots in Bluegrass, Blues & New Orleans Soul; Roosevelt Dime will be cruising into town on June 27th to play The Roots, Rhythm & Soul Tour with Harry Jay & The Bling at Rockwood Music Hall in the LES, which is one of the best venues in the city to catch reasonably priced and consistently great live music.

Learn:

-In these scary times in which we find ourselves, it's more important than ever to learn about and support our local communities. One way you can participate in one of New York's most vibrant communities is by joining the march and celebration of Pride on Jun 25th. I'm guessing this year's parade will be particularly impassioned. You know we love a good volunteer opportunity here at deVivre, so check out this page to get involved.

Explore:

-This is not the first time I've recommended Freshkills Park on Staten Island, but I am so fascinated by the project that I've always got my eyes peeled for events. On Jun 23rd, Open House New York is hosting a tour with NYC Parks and DSNY officials to learn about the site's history as a landfill and the ongoing plans for its transformation. Register at 10am on June 9th for your chance to join, but if you miss out, check out their calendar for events all Summer.
