June: Treats & Eats in NYC

It's June and we're in full-on summer mode (except for a few rainy spring days) with our treats & eats! There's plenty to do outdoors and in this month, but here are some of our top "secret" picks:

Not everyone knows this (I definitely didn't) but June 11th is National Cucumber Day. What! What? What goes better with a cucumber than gin? Nothing. So, Hendricks is hosting a cucumber festival on Pier 97. Join them for the world's tallest Collins bar, penny farthing cycling course, and plenty of other crazy unusual activities!

MOFAD is hosting a bunch of free talks and seminars this month. My favorites are "Immigration in the Kitchen" on Thursday, June 16th and "Fast Food" on Tuesday, June 14th.

The first ever Food Loves Tech expo is happening at the waterfront this weekend. The curating team shares: We have designed an exciting series of immersive installations across 20,000+ square feet that explore the spaces where technology is transforming our eating environment: in the field, in the home, in the city, and on the horizon. With this effort, we are building a platform that bridges communities, industries, and media to expand the efforts being made in every aspect of food and technology.

For those rainy days.. (What's with the late spring..?) Netflix just released the new season of Chef's Table. Personal fave Grant Achatz is featured.

Cheers et bon appetit!
