Right Place, Right Time

Treats & Eats

  1. If you doughn't already know, Dough Doughnuts opened a Manhattan location on 19th St, between 5th & 6th, this past winter. There's always a long line, but that doesn't deter anyone from waiting for one (or in our case - two or three) of the yeast-raised, small-batch doughnuts. There are some go-to flavors that they have year-round - glazed, cocoa nibs, hibiscus, classic cinnamon sugar, but you can't help but test out their specials (strawberry lemonade with candied mint, tropical chili, yuzu curd, matcha sugar) every once in a while. We're not sure what's next, but if history repeats itself, we can guarantee that it's delicious!
  2. After you check out Dr. John & the Nite Trippers on Saturday (see our Sights & Sound below), head downtown, or to Williamsburg, to treat yourself to some of the city's best ice cream at OddFellows. Not only do they have unique flavors (just like Dough) but they also make their own waffle cones on-site, in front of you! This old-school ice cream shoppe has rotating flavors like Ants on a Log, Thai Iced Cream, Grapefruit Jalapeno Sorbet, Raspberry Peppercorn, and Miso Cherry. These flavor chemists know their ice cream and with one spoonful, you're glad that you can appreciate these flavors as an adult, and can afford to add another scoop.

Sights & Sounds

  1. This weekend is set to be another scorcher and what better way to enjoy the sunshine than sitting outside and listening to some more free music? This Saturday, Aug 1st, the legendary Dr. John & the Nite Trippers will be playing a free show at Central Park's Summerstage from 2-7pm. Known as "the embodiment of New Orleans' musical legacy", I'm sure he'll be feeling right at home with the humidity and the music will be swamptastic! You'll know you're in the Right Place, Right Time.
  2. If you've been following us on the social meeds, you'll know that we spent a lovely afternoon drinking cocktails on the roof of Brooklyn Grange Farm last Saturday. You can check out the farm for a sunset yoga class on Monday, Aug 3rd, 6:30-7:30pm ($15) or take a tour of the farm on Wednesday, Aug 5th, 10-11am or 11:30am-12:30pm ($10). If you can't make it this week, these events are happening through September. Don't miss out on the chance to visit this "Secret Garden in the Sky".

As always, if you need to book tickets or want a reservation, let us help!
