deVivre Concierge Calendar: June

At deVivre, our ultimate goal is to help you optimize your schedule so that you can be living your best life at all times. Less time executing and more time L-I-V-I-N. Sometimes that means we concierge your to-do list, sometimes that means we concierge your travel plans, and sometimes that just means we literally concierge your calendar. After all, once we wrangle that dry cleaning/grocery shopping/apartment move for ya, you're gonna have a lot of free time on your hands. We want to be sure you make the most of it.

While summer should have officially started by now, it definitely feels like that sunny summer weather took a turn and got lost somewhere around the Holland Tunnel. We refuse to let the damp dampen our spirits. As if showers and clouds could stop the city that never sleeps! There's still a slew of outdoor concerts and amazing summery activities that make NYC the place to be. Hot time, summer in the city, indeed!  Here's your deVivre Concierge Calendar for June 2018:

Leading the charge, Common will be playing the opening concert at Celebrate Brooklyn’s Bandshell Tuesday, June 5th. If past years are anything to go on, you may want to hire deVivre to get on line early. Everyone still thinks they’re gonna make it to every free show this season no line no hassle and Common always brings a crowd. Reserve your picnic blanket (and stocked cooler full of noshes + bevs) now!

*Shameless Plug Alert* June 15th deVivre Concierge family favorites Goodnight Moonshine will be taking the stage at Rockwood Music Hall, Stage 3. While Carrie is, indeed, related to the members of this dynamic duo (and takes her concierge magic on the road for them occasionally, wrangling logistics and troubadour childcare) they are legitimately excellent and highly recommended!

The most not-Burning-Man-but-totally-channeling-Burning-Man event of the year; the Mermaid Parade will be back at Coney Island June 16th for its 36th year. While you’re there check out some of the roller coasters at Luna Park and grab a hotdog from the original Nathan’s or dress up and get crazy with the rest of the Mer-folk. Shell bra optional.

The MP3 experiment is happening at Brooklyn Bridge Park on June 21st this year and is always totally unpredictable and hilarious. It's one of deVivre’s favorite events every year! Brought to you by Improv Everywhere (aka: the folks behind the No Pants Subway Ride) the New York Times calls this event "part mass hypnosis, part party, part comedy club". Sounds good, right? If you want a VIP experience, deVivre can install you at a convenient nearby bar and show up with all the props you’ll need so you can turn up juuuust a little tipsy and ready for the action without lifting a finger.

Now if all this "sunshine" and "being outside" isn’t for you, we've got the perfect indoor kid activity: From June 1st-30th, check out singularly pale Brit Simon Amstell’s month long residency at Theater 80 on St Marks Place. He’s one of the funniest comedians in the game and regularly sells out shows at larger venues all over the UK. Luckily for us he’s starting his tour in this intimate theater in NYC so don’t miss out.

Have a brilliant June, we’ll see you in the garden for an aperol spritz and be back next month with deVivre's Concierge Services Calendar for July!
