A Day in the Life of a Concierge
You know those days where you feel like you're just running all over town crossing things off your to-do list like a crazy person? We live for those days. Uptown, downtown, and all around, give us your list and let us do the walking. Here's what a day in the life looks like for one of our superstar concierge team members!
First stop: making sure our client's car is ready. to. roll. (exactly when and where she needs it to be). In this case, the whip in question needed to get its oil changed and be waiting for her out in Hackensack. DONE.
Stop 2: Our client, the Interior Designer, needed help coordinating the removal of a (tired, beige) sectional and the delivery of a (gorgeous, fresh) down-filled convertible in Long Island City. We project managed the move, made sure the old sofa was donated, and that the new one was fluffed and styled exactly to her specifications. "Out with the old, in with the blue," she said! DONE.
Stop 3: Love the idea of a CSA but never have time to pick it up? We got you. We've loved seeing the farm shares at Haven's Kitchen in Chelsea as we've picked up and delivered their weekly produce and flower shares to a busy client who lives in Hells Kitchen. We bid them adieu for the last time this year as we took the final harvest share for the season (broccoli rabe, tiny turnips, and foraged mushrooms, yes please) on over to our client. We know what's for dinner. DONE.
Stop 4: We got a call from a new out-of-town client who needed a very specific gift to be waiting for his friend coming into town to run the NYC Marathon. We asked our friends at our fave UWS wine shop, Best Bottle, what pairs perfectly with... Cheetos? The answer? A Nebbiolo from the Alto Piemonte, of course. We had the bottle of fine red and the bag of bright orange waiting for the runner at her hotel right on time for her arrival. DONE.
Last stop: Being cooked a delicious meal of Pork Belly and watching a movie with friends - OK! That wasn't for a client, but it sure was a great way to end the day!
