We're back to spring weather this weekend, and we have plenty of ideas to keep you busy around the city while you're soaking up the sun and fresh air!

Treats & Eats

1. DayLife, the LES's BID festival, known for their summer events, is hosting a winter pop-up this Sunday, Feb 21st, 11a-5p at Lowline Lab. Pretend that you're outside enjoying a beautiful summer day and treat yourself to local treats from "Saxelby Cheesemongers, Osaka Grub, Davidovich Bakery, Puebla Mexican Food, Arancini Bros, and more" share Essex Street Market. Most vendors will be cash only, so stop by the ATM beforehand!

2. If you plan on spending the entire weekend outside (it's going to be in the 50s!!), here are some spots that Thrillist has found to have outdoor seating year-round: Roberta's in Bushwick - "The infamous pizza parlor’s pies & casual drinks can be enjoyed year-round on its heated and tented outdoor patio";  230 Fifth in NoMad - "free red robes, multitude of heat lamps, and private igloos..with epic city views"; Xanadu at McCarren Hotel & Pool - "impeccable city views and artisanal cocktails at this popular Brooklyn rooftop"; and Studio Square in LIC - "this beer hall’s 30,000sqft courtyard is year round thanks to an enormous fire pit and scattered heat lamps".

Sights & Sounds

1. This Fri, Feb 19th 10p-4a check out Banger for Bernie 2016 at Wyndham Garden, Chinatown, 93 Bowery. The flyer reads "As New Yorkers, our voices won't be heard by the Electoral College until April. But in the true spirit of the great Bernie Sanders, we're gonna make them Feel the Bern in February. We're excited to announce the first inaugural NYC 2016 BANGER FOR BERNIE!! Here, we show our support for our favorite candidate--may he lead us into a better America. Come out for dancing, democracy, and the demise of wealth disparity!"

2.  Running now through Mar 13th, Mike Birbiglia: Thank God For Jokes is playing at the Lynn Redgrave Theater. Time Out says "Much like Sleepwalk [with me], the new piece hinges on one pivotal, life-changing moment, but takes the audience down several seemingly unrelated, meandering asides before knitting threads together thematically. Such narrative and theatrical deftness transcends traditional stand-up." Mike Birbiglia is one of my favourite comedians/story tellers and this show will not disappoint. Use the promo code Jokes for discounts on the first 10 shows.
